Making Filigree - Step Seven

The next step in making filigree is the soldering work! It takes forever, since you have to be very meticulous about soldering every single tiny joint, including the insides of the swirl designs. Here is a photo in the middle of the process, and one right after they come out of the pickle! Yes, I have a lot of firescale, but that will not be for long :)

Nicole,
What beautiful artistry by a kind soul willing to share her knowledge.

I'll admit yours is the first blog I have ever read and certainly posted to.

I was googling how to make filigree as I am starting my own handmade jewelry biz and found you. I too am just married and just moved. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your success.

Just beautiful work! You have far more patience than me (and I gather that means a lot coming from a chainmail artist). They turned out so wonderfully.
