I was going to take pictures of my jewelry using all the great tips I recieved, but I missed out on the sunshine because I got something in the mail from the Bunny Lovers Unite Flickr Group's latest bunny swap! I've always wanted one but never brought myself to buy it... and now we have one! A Bunny's Magic Dream Cottage! <3<3<3

I really love bunnies. In fact, I'm pretty much a bunny freak. (Anybody remember etsy's Bunny Lovers Gift Guide?) Anyway, I've been wanting to use a bunny design in my jewelry for forever. But I didn't want it to look generic or "clipart-ey". So I posted a call for bunny silhouettes over on my favourite Flickr group, Bunny Lovers Unite. And I found this image of an adorable bunny named Cadence.
With the owner's permission I turned the photo into a template.
Then I added a tail and sawed a practice piece out of sheet copper. Cute, huh? :)
Hannah has made herself quite at home with us. She nips me still but loves Shayne to death. She's still trying to destroy carpet, so we can't leave her unsupervised yet. But she does let me cuddle her lots and lots though which makes up for it since I'm a big softie! Hlao loves her to death but she would rather he leave her alone. [We're working on that ;) ]
Well, my part of of the PDXEtsy's first big BOGO sale was a success. I made 11 sales, to 11 new customers :) I have almost all of their orders made up and shipped off! I had so many orders, I ran out of charms for my packages. So I sat on the floor next to a tired bunny and made a ton of them. Bunny helped.
Memorial Day weekend was fun! We were lucky enough to catch my Grandma's wondeful Catholic sisters who were visiting, and upon being shown the rosary I gave Grandma for Mother's Day, they each ordered one of their own! Those two, plus an earring commission, and another ring commission through my etsy shop makes four orders in one day. Maybe I can do well at this after all? I ran to the craft store to peruse the beads and didn't find any I liked today but did find some antiqued copper headpins (the ones I ordered on etsy seem to have been stolen or lost in the mail!) [edit: nevermind it was just the post office being slow] and I finally made the much-anticipated Bunny Poop Necklace. One for me, and one for the shop!
I have a pet holland lop named Hlao. I had my first bunny as a teenager and I find now that they make wonderful apartment pets, especially when noise and pet fees are an issue. We've had him for about two months and he is sweet but doesn't like to be cuddled or picked up yet. He especially doesn't like to hold still for me to take a picture! He recently learned that he can jump up on the couch, and did so tonight. As we sat and watched The Fugitive on dvd, he jumped up and sat next to us, and was sitting still long enough that I was going to go get the camera and give it a shot. Then I noticed the reason he was sitting still was he was laying a wonderful little pile of hraka for us. Damn bunny.
