Thinking about Valentine's Day yet?

Ok - I admit it, I'm not much for celebrating Valentine's day. I have a history of negativity associated with February 14th.. My first boyfriend dumped me on a Valentine's day, I've had the flu more than once on V-day, I've been forgotten a few of times on the 14th..

That having been said, I consider Valentine's Day a great excuse to make something delicate and girly, and full of hearts. I made a matching ring too, but I'm keeping it ;)

Mellow Yellow

As soon as I recieved these beads from Sunyno, I knew I wanted to make this necklace. I had to figure out a way to ball the ends of the wire without the glass beads exploding from the heat of the torch (a complicated process of balancing tweezers on the edges of a very very full vessel of water), but I finally made it :)

What, a Necklace?

So, I don't do necklaces very often. But I have an idea book (actually, several) FULL of sketches of jewelry and I try to go through them regularly and make something I thought of earlier. This was one, and I made it pretty much exactly to the specifications in the sketch I had. AND as a super-special-one-time-only event, I'm actually modelling it! lol. Here is the Shimmery Blues Delicate Y-Necklace
