Giant Redwoods: Make me want to build a brick house.

Since I'm busy procrastinating on a few jewelry orders I've recieved, I'll post one last set of photos from California. These are from Muir Woods National Monument just north of San Francisco. We didn't have time to actually hike in the park, which is a shame, but we did get a few photos from near the entrance. It definitely makes me want to visit Northern California's Redwood National and State Parks when I have a whole day to dedicate to hiking and photography. Click the photos to view more.

Signs of Spring in the Portland Rhododendron Garden

When my Mom and I got back from California we still had a couple days here in Portland to spend together. We drove around a bit, took in the view from Washington Park and the International Rose Test Garden. I finally got to visit the new Ikea and we also went to the beautiful Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden which is just a couple blocks from my apartment. Proof of our trip! We didn't get many pictures of ourselves actually IN San Francisco, but we had a great time anyway. We even got to visit a couple of the shops my blog readers and Etsy friends reccommended! It was a lot of fun but I think Mom will be recovering all week from all the walking I made her do! Ha :)

Going out of town! Just in time for my print ad too (grr)

So I'm totally excited about the Bust Magazine issue with the Etsy coop ad that apparently came out yesterday (I'm in it!!). But it comes right as I'm going out of town! I'll be in Tri-Cities until Wednesday or Thursday and then come home to fly out of PDX Friday morning with my Mom to visit her sister near San Francisco, until April 2nd. So ALL of my orders will be backed up until the third. Ugh! :P Oh well, I still hope I get tons and tons and have to file my little fingers to the bone when I get back.

60 Rings In One Day? Give Me A Real Challenge!

Well, I finished the last of the weekend's BOGO orders yesterday, and am shipping them all today! Phew, that was a lot of rings to make :) But I'm very happy to say that my sales did well and I met and exceeded my goal for the weekend and was able to buy all the fun supplies I've been wanting, not just the bare neccessities!

I'm also getting excited to be going out of town this Sunday-Wednesday, and then going with my mom to California for a long weekend starting next Friday. A welcome change of pace, even if it does come in a slightly nerve-wracking time (I think the Bust Magazine with the Etsy Co-op ad I'm in comes out this weekend).
