Oh Yeah, Wedding Season!

I guess I can relax a little about slow sales right now, because with our wet and dreary weather here in Portland, I totally forgot about Wedding Season! Even though my number of orders is still down, more people are buying my Le Petit 14K Gold Rings and other custom wedding bands.

Craigslist has gotten me a lot of local attention as well. I feel so bad for the people who want to come try things on first though, because I work from home and don't have a studio for them to come visit :( I do lose most of those sales. But I simply don't have the means to keep all the different styles I offer in stock yet. Craft Supply Love.. And Hurt In My Wallet for Rent-Time

Recently my Grandmother comissioned me to make three custom pendants with silver and bezel-set birthstone cabochons. So I figured out the cost and ordered the supplies when she paid me. But it turns out she only paid me for ONE of the pendants for now, so I had to rely on dearest Boyfriend to help me out with rent again this month! Dangit. Just when I think I'm staying afloat. -But- in the supply order comes extras... mmmm... gold, gemstones.. even my first <insert flashing lights here>diamonds</end lights>! Its 12:44 now and the mailman is usually done with the building's mailboxes by 1:00 and I'm chomping at the bit to go check. My package probably won't even arrive until Monday but there is always that hope that your sheer excitement will make it come sooner, right? A girl can always dream :)

More GOLD ~ooohh~

So yesterday I asked Boyfriend what I should make, and he said Gold hoop earrings. So I bent some wire, and it turned funny, but ended up making ~perfect~ hoops in a diamond profile! I wish I could replicate this, lol. But here they are, in solid 14K Gold :)
